The Quill Internet Site is a project that I have been meaning to work on for some time now. It dates back to when I used to run a small web hosting company. I had (still have) two dedicated servers with Fasthosts. However the administration involved in dealing with clients, setting up packages, taking money, dealing with problems became too much, so I now use the servers for some of my Affiliate Projects.
This leaves me with Quill Internet, a site that in terms of marketing has allot going for it. It is an old domain name, which Google likes, it has been marketed in the past and appears on search engines and has some good link backs from other sites. There is a steady amount of traffic to the site, although this could be improved it is a good starting point.
I have therefore decided to use this as my next affiliate project and hopefully with a little more focused marketing it could be successful. The site will move its focus from selling packages directly to providing recommendations for packages for big suppliers. This way I can offer my clients a much better service, with not only hosting packages, but also packages can include dedicated servers and exchange server hosting, while still keeping the site up and running.
I hope to get a majority of it done this weekend, should not be too much work involved, but want to get it right. I will post back soon with what I have done and discovered along the way, and then hopefully I will soon be posting about how it is bringing in zillions of pounds… well seriously I will try and update when I modify any of the strategy, tweaks to keywords or marketing.
